Good Morning Britain's Martin Lewis has issued energy saving advice to anyone working from home.
The consumer champion fronted today's edition of the ITV news programme alongside Susanna Reid. Viewers sent in their questions as Martin aimed to give guidance amid the cost of living crisis.
A viewer probed the finance guru on the best way to heat her home as the UK is hit by cold weather. She said: "I work from home. Is it cheaper to buy electric heaters and blankets than put the heating on."

Martin explained that people struggling to afford soaring energy bills could turn to alternative ways to heat their home. He said: "If you are desperate and can't afford to put the heating on then buying yourself, make sure its electrically safe, a heated gilet is a very efficient way to heat the body.
"For example, they're 50 watts roughly. Here's how to work out how much it costs you. A kilowatt is a thousand watts. A kilowatt/hour costs roughly 35p so if it's 50 watts that is a twentieth of that so it's going to cost you around 1.5p an hour to have a heated gilet on. Or you could have heated insoles or heated gloves."
Many have turned to electric heaters to warm their homes during the winter. However, Martin explained a pitfall of the alternative heating source.
He said: "Yes, you could buy an electric heater but then the heating is going everywhere. But if you're buying something that's totally concentrated on heating you then you're getting the most efficient use of it.
"Just make sure they're safe and you're not buying a cheap import that doesn't have an electricity certificate." He added: "If that's your situation right now that is a cheaper thing to do than putting your heating on. I'm not advocating it, but you may be in position where that's the only thing you can afford which is not good."
