Gogglebox viewers stunned by Mary Killen's X-rated rant at husband Giles

Gogglebox viewers were lost for words when Mary Killen went on an X-rated rant at her husband Giles Wood.

On Friday evening's episode of the popular Channel 4 show, Mary blurted out a curse word while arguing about a supermarket.

Mary wasn't impressed with Giles' commentary and called him a 'b*****d' while they rowed over the running of Waitrose.

While watching new TV show Beef, Giles said one of the actors looked like the people 'tutting in a queue in Waitrose'.

Speaking about the character, he said: "He'd be sent to that problem desk which I always avoid, somewhere in the middle of Waitrose where there's always people queuing and gutting.

"Do you remember that place? Where they express dissatisfaction?"

Mary was mildly offended and defended the supermarket.

She told him: "Oh you're just such a ba****d.

"Waitrose is beautifully run, there's never a queue of people gutting."

Giles went on to ask his wife whether she worked for the supermarket chain and added: "I think you are on a retainer…"

Fans were shocked at hearing Mary swear and took to social media to comment on the moment.

"Mary calling Giles a b*****d for complaining about Waitrose bit harsh," one user complained.

Another quipped: "Blimey, Mary's not holding back tonight. Giles should have replied that she shouldn't use that language, like she does to him."

"Did I just hear Mary swear?" one shocked viewer asked.

One viewer thought the comment was hilarious and commented: "Giles is the best at winding up Mary."

Earlier this year, Mary opened up about what it's like filming for the show.

In a recent interview, Mary described being so comfortable filming her scenes for Gogglebox that she often forgets the cameras are set up around her living room.

“They're filming for 12 hours a week so of course we forget. The cameras are so small,” she explained.

“The point is they want the cast to be as natural as possible, so that's why they film for so long," the star added when speaking with new! magazine.

Mary described her ‘love’ for filming Gogglebox as she gets to do it from the comfort of her home.

Gogglebox airs Fridays at 9pm on Channel4 and streaming service All 4.
