Glastonbury organisers have listed a number of items festival goers will be unable to bring with them this week.
The Worthy Farm festival kicks off today, Wednesday, June 21, and guests are set to arrive with all their festival essentials. Among the products listed are disposable vapes, knives, non-biodegradable body glitter, gazebos and glass of all kinds (including perfume and mirrors).
Organisers have warned that the non-rechargeable vapes are a danger at waste centres and pollute the environment. Last year, 1.3 million single-use vapes were thrown away every week, each year according to data from Material Focus.

This is enough to cover 22 football pitches. Each disposable vape contains a lithium battery, equivalent to the lithium in batteries inside 1,200 electric vehicles. Glastonbury has also advised against the use of disposable wipes - which contain microplastics - that harm the environment as well as warning of the dangers of plant fibre-based biodegradable wipes, which release greenhouse gases when they decompose.
Plastic wrap used at airports is also not encouraged. As part of the 'Worthy Pledge', those who purchase a ticket agree to the festival's rules in place to protect the land and the environment including disposing of rubbish and not peeing on the land.
Festival goers may be searched at the entrance for glass or any items that may be used in an illegal or offensive manner – which will be confiscated and mean they could face eviction.
