A ladies-only gym that hopes to inspire and empower women to pursue their fitness goals is coming to Glasgow next year.
Xen Fitness will be launching on Kilmarnock Road, in the Shawlands area, in 2024, after being granted planning permission and change of use approval.
The gym will offer spin, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and reformer pilates classes, providing something for both beginners and experienced gymgoers.
It aims to make women feel more confident and comfortable while working out.

Additionally, the gym will offer a wide range of cutting-edge equipment and expert trainers designed to meet the unique needs and preferences of its members.
Pictures shared with Glasgow Live show how the gym is expected to look after completion but the colours depicted and the feel of the venue may change before its official launch next year.
Samantha Henderson, Development Manager at Xen Fitness said: “Our team are thrilled to bring a female-only gym to the area.
"We recognise that many women face barriers to exercising in traditional gym environments, whether due to personal or religious reasons.
"Our goal is to create a supportive space that breaks down these barriers and empowers women to prioritise their health and fitness."
The new fitness facility is currently awaiting building warrants, with plans to then imminently start building works.
