Gabby Logan left her husband Kenny 's confidence destroyed the first time they attempted to have sex after his prostate was removed.
Former Scottish rugby international Kenny, 51, said his TV presenter wife showed no patience when he struggled to get an erection after having his prostate removed following cancer treatment.
After undergoing the surgery, Kenny suffered with erectile dysfunction problems and one year on from his prostatectomy, Kenny has opened up about how it affected his sex life with his wife Gabby.
Speaking on The Mid Point podcast, Kenny also revealed that random men come up to him in the street to ask him if he suffers with erectile dysfunction - but Kenny has no problem handing out his phone number to chat them through any post-surgery issues they may have.
Chatting about the ups and downs of their sex life after his operation, Kenny told Gabby on the podcast that she was rather impatient when it came to their bedroom antics.
"Well, you have got your times, haven't you. You are good, but you want things to happen immediately. When we first tried to have sex, Gabby said 'Oh, it's not working, that's it - it's not working'. You didn't even give me a chance," Kenny shared.
"What actually happened from that my confidence rock bottoms. It's like 'Oh my God'. Every time I saw you in the bedroom I turned round and walked out. Sometimes you've just got to give a man a little bit of time Gabs," he added.
Despite having some trouble in the beginning after his operation, Gabby and Kenny both agreed on the podcast that their sex life had improved since that first attempt.
Elsewhere during the candid chat, Gabby, 50, said while Kenny was 'building back' it affected his sense of identity and he didn't seem like himself anymore.
Responding to her statement, Kenny said: "You have your doubts and you maybe don't share all your doubts. Sometimes I'd say to you'll need time'.
"It's probably been quite good for me talking about it personally. And then also the amount of people that have connected to me, just even walking through Waitrose.
"I was going through Waitrose and the amount of people who stopped me and said 'Would you speak to a friend?' And I give them my number, random people, and they phone me up, they have a conversation, talk through my situation, how I felt."
Kenny shares 17-year-old twins Lois and Reuben with wife Gabby.
One year on from his prostatectomy, Kenny still has to undergo blood tests every month.
During the insightful podcast chat, he admitted that he still gets nervous about the results 'every single time'.
