A friend of a popular scaffolder who died after a tragic trampoline accident has paid tribute to him.
Rob Harcourt, 37, from Stockton suffered a “catastrophic” injury after a freak accident involving a trampoline and passed away despite medic’s best efforts and weeks of fighting for his life. Following the fall, Rob had a cardiac arrest in hospital and needed surgery after fluid was found in his brain.
Amanda Jones - a friend of Rob’s who set up a Go Fund Me page for the scaffolder’s partner Jade Higgins and mum Jackie Graves, which has raised £9,300 at the time of publishing - paid an emotional tribute.

She told Teesside Live : “Rob was an only child. I can’t begin to imagine what Jackie (Rob's mum) is going through and Jade has lost her soulmate. We’re all just devastated. You always think you’ve got tomorrow to do things, to say things.
“It’s unimaginable that he isn’t here now. Jackie played voice messages to him and I hope he heard them, I hope he knew how much people thought of him.
“Never in a million years did we think the money we raised would help to pay for a funeral. There was always hope that he would get through it and get home but sadly the brain injury from the cardiac arrest was just too significant."
Last week, Rob’s tracheotomy was removed and he was transferred to where Jade and Jackie remained at his side. He died in the arms of his loved ones.
