Fortnite is pushing aggression as much as it can with the latest round of weekly challenges. There are a lot of challenges that require you to damage or eliminate opponents and not a lot of anything else, so I hope you’re ready to get out there and fight. As always, each completed challenge will earn you 20k XP, with milestone goals earning you 50k XP if you complete enough challenges overall this season.
We’ll walk you through this week’s challenges and tell you the easiest ways to complete each of them for fast XP and Battle Pass progression.
Damage players within 5 seconds of mantling
This challenge isn’t necessarily difficult, but it can be a pain to pull off. Mantling is a feature added in Chapter 3 Season 2 where you can pull yourself up to a higher surface by holding the jump button near a high ledge. This can naturally put you at a disadvantage if your opponent knows you’re coming, so picking the right moment to pop up and attack can be difficult, especially as you need to cram as much damage as possible into five seconds.
Deal damage to opponents with a Legendary weapon
Getting a Legendary-tier weapon isn’t easy in Fortnite. While you can get it in random loot, your odds are low. Your best bet to find one is to check out one of the new vaults this season added, as there are usually a couple of silver chests in there. The easier method is to head to a garage and use the upgrade bench to make your weapon Legendary. It will cost bars though, and you still have to get out there and do damage.
Eliminate opponents while chromed
The Chrome Splash is one of the best new items this season, and it’s fairly easy to get hold of. It drops at a reasonable rate, but even if you’re struggling to find some, just start cutting down chromed trees and you’ll get it. Throwing the splash on yourself will cause you to become chromed for quite a while, so if you apply it before heading into a fight, you should complete this challenge in no time.
Emote for 5 seconds in The Flairship
The Flairship featured in the Zero Week quests and you can still go there. It’s the airship hovering by the Rave Cave. Just land there at the start of a match and start emoting.
Gain shields at the Reality Tree
The Reality Tree may be wilted, but you can still head there for some good stuff. While you can grab a shield potion or two and drink them by the tree, you can quickly and easily gain shields at the tree by bouncing off the Slurpshrooms surrounding it.
Open chests or ammo boxes inside The Driftwood
Another old friend of Zero Week, The Driftwood is the pirate ship hovering above Lustrous Lagoon. There are loads of chests and boxes all over it, so finding three should be no trouble if you land there at the start of a match.
Shoot targets while ziplining
Like the mantling challenge, this isn’t that difficult, but the conditions are annoyingly specific. Your best bet is to find somewhere like Loot Lake as it’s usually a pretty densely populated area, and there are lots of ziplines.
