Former Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole is living in a tent in Spain with his wife and children. The 47 year old professional dancer quit Strictly in 2018.
Brendan and wife Zoe - who share daughter Aurelia and son Dante - are waiting for a home in Mallorca to be refurbished. While that work is being done, they are living in a tent.
Brendan said he’s adapted to the “adventurous” lifestyle as he and his family live in a bell tent on the grounds of the property, however he’s concerned about the heat on the Spanish island.
“Because we're doing the renovation we actually can't live in the house so the plan is to actually be in a glamping tent on the property which is quite nice although if it gets too hot, which I fear it might be, we may well just come back,” he told The Sun.
Brendan blamed “gin madness” for encouraging him and wife Zoe to decide to take the tent to Mallorca with them, after they lost out on a rental property.
He said: “The day before we were getting the flat, we got a phone call saying it had been rented to somebody else for a longer time, so we had to get the bell tent out early and we put it up!”
Brendan says he has a BBQ and solar shower set up, completing his nomadic compound on the property.
However, with reports of a scorching heatwave set to hit Europe over the summer, Brendan said if it becomes “too hot we might come back”.
