Plans have been submitted to rebuild a former nightclub that was part of an arson attack over two years ago.
Envy nightclub in Derry, which was popular with the LGBT community, was damaged in an arson attack in January 2020 and had to be demolished.
The application is only at the early stages but could potentially be the start of some positive news for the city which has been without a dedicated LGBT nightclub since the blaze.

If approved, it's understood that the applicant wants to open a three-story nightclub at the site location.
G3G SSAS, which is based in Manchester, has applied for planning permission to resurrect the new night space at 64 Strand Road.
The fire, which could be seen from around the city, completely gutted the roof and upper floors.
A man was sentenced to five years over the blaze earlier this year.
Sebastian Prokop, who was previously from Crawford Square in the city, told police “I don’t like gays” after being arrested and accused of burning down the night spot.
He was recorded on CCTV cameras climbing an external stairway and entering the third storey of the building. Minutes later he was recorded descending the same stairway and walking away minutes before the building went on fire.
