It turns out a former Cincinnati Bengals standout has a tie to the lottery ticket that just netted one lucky winner roughly $2 billion.
Buy Bengals TicketsJoe Chahayed, owner of the Mobil gas station that sold the winning Powerball ticket, is the father-in-law of former Bengals defensive tackle Domata Peko.
Peko himself confirmed the new with an Instagram story, which we’ve provided a screenshot of below:

Chahayed, according to ESPN’s Ben Baby, will receive $1 million for selling the winning ticket.
Peko, of course, played for more than a decade in Cincinnati as a staple of the defensive line’s interior while sometimes moonlighting as a quite capable fullback for the offense on the goal line.
