Famous Leeds butchers Malcolm Michaels has hit back at a "disgusting" reviewer who said the shop made her want to "puke".
Malcolm Michaels Quality Butcher has been described as Leeds’ ‘most famous’ butchers due to their prominence in Kirkgate Market since 1993, a range of charitable campaigns and large online social media presence.
The butchers, which is owned by Malcolm Leary and Adrian Thorp, recently moved to Crossgates Shopping Centre as the market was a 'damp squib' with 'high rent and low footfall'. One shopper was unhappy to see the new addition to the shopping centre.

Maria Santacasilda took to social media to show her disgust at the butcher shop. She wrote on the shop's Facebook page: "Simply DISGUSTING. I do NOT eat CORPSES. I feel like puking just by looking at it. It’s certainly beyond GROSS. [sic]"
The Malcolm Michaels page responded: "Maria, you are disgusting. Leaving a bad review because it doesn't suit your opinion. Grow up."
Others on Facebook came to Malcolm Michaels' defence, telling Maria to "just walk past or go another route", asked about the "plants you're murdering" and one even called her a "muppet".
The butchers posted on Facebook about the incident, asking their followers for more supportive reviews to cancel out Maria's "silly" diatribe. The post said: "Love a good read on a morning... Can you help us drown these silly comments out with good ones! Leave us a review on meat, pies or the lovely staff we don't mind and I'm sure some will boost egos (if they ever needed it)."
Since Malcolm Michaels Facebook post, numerous reviews praising the shop have flooded in.
