There’s nothing that brings the magic of Christmas to life like a personalised letter from Santa. But when the big man is busy checking the naughty list and preparing his sleigh, shoppers can instead receive a personalised video message from Aldi’s Kevin the Carrot.
The festive character made popular by the supermarket’s Christmas adverts is following the footsteps of Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan, musician Chaka Khan and actor James Buckley by joining celebrity video sharing website, Cameo .
Kevin The Carrot has been a very busy vegetable this Christmas season, from fighting off intruders in the supermarket’s TV advert to dealing with press interviews and predicting this year’s World Cup winners.

Now, joining punnets of celebrities on a video sharing site to make Christmas magical for children, while raising money for charity.
Whether it be a Christmas message, birthday greeting or simply spreading festive joy, Kevin will deliver a limited number of bespoke messages via an animated video for his ever-growing bunch of fans on December 12. Since its launch in 2017, Cameo has created more than 2.5 million memorable moments for celebrity fans who have signed up to the platform.
Priced at £10 a video, Kevin’s Cameos come in 74 per cent cheaper than the site’s most popular star, James Buckley, who played Jay on The Inbetweeners.
All profits will be donated to Aldi’s food charity partner, Neighbourly – and Aldi will match each donation to continue the drive to help those in need ahead of Christmas.
Kevin the Carrot and his friends have proven to be extremely popular for another year running. Last month, thousands of shoppers were trying to get onto the Aldi website to access the popular plush collection. More than 73,000 people were being held in an online queue before 8am on the Aldi page.
This year, the Kevin the Carrot Family collection contains new plush toys as well as Christmas tree decorations and pyjamas, and is available to buy now at Aldi.
Those wishing to spread hap-pea-ness this Christmas, can head to Cameo on December 12 to have their personalised message from Kevin the Carrot.
