Canadian brand Tim Horton is set to open its first drive-thru restaurant in Nottinghamshire later this year. The popular coffee brand has branches already in the UK but this will be Nottingham's first Tim Hortons and fans have been waiting for it to open.
The new restaurant with the option for drive-through will open in Mansfield on Thursday, July 14 and the brand will hold a competition on its launch day. Visitors will be able to win free drinks for a year and 100 free breakfasts.
The dining venue will also be open from 6 am until midnight giving coffee fans the chance to pick up a brew late into the evening. Doors will open on Thursday at 7 am ready to serve freshly baked goods and a much-needed pre-work caffeine boost.

There will also be free drinks and donuts on the day for visitors who activate their Tim Hortons digital wallets. Customers can scan a QR code at the restaurant to register or visit online.
The location of the new restaurant is at Stockwell Gate just 40 minutes north of Nottingham and will offer up to 84 seats for guests who wish to dine in. There will also be delivery options on offer following launch day.
Tim Horton's also offers lunch options such as hot sandwiches, burgers and wraps with a wide range of vegetarian options.
Kevin Hydes, Chief Commercial Officer of Tim Hortons franchise in the U.K commented: “We’ve had an abundance of requests to come to Nottinghamshire, so opening in Mansfield felt like an obvious fit. This county is brand new territory for us, so we are really looking forward to bringing the best of our brand to even more people across the East Midlands.”
He continues “We are proud to have invested in the local community, creating over 50 jobs for the local area and have been working hard with our dedicated team to ensure every guest receives the quality experience we’re so well known for. We cannot wait to welcome guests through the doors from Thursday 14th July.”
