ANDY HALLIDAY is hoping Rangers can go on and win the Europa League - even if he's predicting an Eintracht Frankfurt triumph.
The former Ibrox midfielder - now at Hearts - has tipped Frankfurt to emerge victorious in Seville tomorrow night.
But that's only because every time he's tipped Rangers to lose, they've won.
Explaining his reasoning for his bold statement Halliday insisted it'll be close with the match difficult to predict.
Speaking on behalf of Grosvenor Sport, Halliday said:"If Rangers win the Europa League on Wednesday, it'll definitely be one of the biggest achievements in the club’s history and everyone will be in the hall of fame and regarded as legends forever.
"But Rangers aren't under any pressure against Frankfurt as they've already exceeded expectations so I think the players will be very relaxed - the fact they got to the final already is a fantastic achievement, but they also know that they're 90 minutes or so away from stardom.
"It's difficult to predict the final. I predicted Rangers to go out on a couple of previous occasions so I might stick with that same superstition and say they won't win it!
"Eintracht Frankfurt have done unexpectedly well to get to the final too - they've been unbeaten the full campaign and I think a lot of people thought they'd go out when they were drawn against West Ham in the semi-final, so Rangers are definitely facing a good side."
