Pat McAfee likely doesn’t have many remaining fans among supporters of the Georgia Bulldogs.
The ESPN College GameDay personality made his pick for Saturday’s SEC championship game between No. 1 Georgia and No. 8 Alabama, needling Bulldogs fans in the process. When it was time for him to make his pick at the end of Saturday’s episode, McAfee led the Bulldogs faithful in a rendition of the team’s popular fan song, “Who’s That Comin’ Down The Track?” seemingly setting the stage for a selection of the Dawgs in the SEC title game.
But after riling up what sounded like every Georgia fan in attendance at College GameDay in Atlanta, McAfee did an about-face, picking Alabama to beat the Bulldogs. The selection was met with both thunderous boos and cheers from the crowd.

It’s not the first time that McAfee has effectively energized a crowd on the College GameDay set. But this was an all-time troll job from the former NFL punter-turned-podcaster, who almost certainly will be hearing about this pick if Georgia beats the Tide in the SEC title game Saturday evening.
College Football Playoff hopes are on the line when the Dawgs (12—0) take on the Tide (11—1) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET, and the TV broadcast is on CBS.
