Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter has been forced into drastic action against vicious online trolls.
Lucy Pargeter, 46, who plays Chas Dingle in Emmerdale, has received a lot of abuse on social media in recent months. Some fans blame her character for soap favourite Paddy Dingle’s mental health struggles.
This has forced Lucy into turning her Twitter profile into a private account. Lucy wrote: “And to think that most of the profiles to proudly paste the #bekind on the profile, quickly moved onto the next # they could equally be part of.

“I hope your children or in some cases, grandchildren are proud of you. What fine examples of hypocrisy and schadenfreude.”
We’ve previously reported Paddy star Dominic Brunt has jumped to the defence of his co-star. Although, for some, even that doesn’t appear to be enough. He posted: “Wow!! People still being pretty damned cruel and personal towards my dear friend @lucyparge.
