Emmerdale fans have been busy theorising serial killer Meena Jutla’s next moves on the ITV soap for weeks now, but spoilers have revealed she will try to take her sister Manpreet Sharma down and target Liam Cavanagh in the process.
Meena (Paige Sandhu) was finally arrested, after a prolonged killing spree, last month and charged with the murders of Andrea Tate, Ben Tucker, Leanna Cavanagh and a girl named Nadine, as well as other crimes including kidnap and attempted murder.
But while police have evidence linking her to the crimes and the victims, they have yet to get a confession out of her ahead of her plea hearing.
Meena has continued to deny that she killed her victims - except to the vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) while discussing her dubious repentance for the murderous rampage.
ITV spoilers have now revealed that Meena will frame her sister Manpreet for Andrea's murder in a shocking revenge twist, while elsewhere on the soap Liam (Jonny McPherson) and Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) will be targeted over Meena.
Meena tells her sister that they both have to take responsibility for their actions if she is going to give a confession, knowing that Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) covered for Liam when he pushed her from the bridge.
When Meena faces her sister, she tells Manpreet she will only confess if she also admits to the police that she lied, grassing Liam up.
Elsewhere, Emmerdale fans will also see Liam and Wendy panic on the soap next week when they discover abusive comments lodged on the practice’s website.
This comes after Liam took revenge against Meena by pushing her from the bridge where she had killed his daughter Leanna - but the serial killer survived and police concluded it was in self-defence.
Meena made a formal complaint against Liam after regaining consciousness at the hospital, but after two police interviews, he was allowed to walk free.
The local doctor has opened up to Cain about how he deliberately pushed Meena from the bridge after she cruelly taunted him over Leanna's murder, but Cain didn't blame the local doctor for taking matters into his own hands.
Liam's wife Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) later joined the pair at the allotments, where they spotted Meena's box half-buried in the soil.
The serial killer, as viewers know, had a twisted habit of stealing items from her victims, which she stored in a First Aid box, making it a crucial piece of evidence.
