Emmerdale fans are convinced Meena Jutla will be pregnant when she returns to the village, after ITV soap bosses revealed there will be a new baby on the show in 2022.
Now, some fans are worried it could be Liam Cavanagh who is revealed to be the father, while it is yet to be confirmed which character will be pregnant.
Still convinced their theory about Meena is correct, fans recalled the moment Meena took advantage of a drunk Liam in December, with it hinted she planned to sleep with him to fall pregnant.
Meena had faked a pregnancy with ex Billy Fletcher at the time, while she later claimed nothing happened between her and Liam.
Liam woke up in her bed with no memory of the night before, and Meena claimed he had made a pass at her but she rejected him.
Viewers feared she had raped him while he was out of it, while Meena said in later episodes that she was "confused" about her original story.
Following soap bosses teasing a new baby for one village resident, viewers immediately predicted Meena would be the mystery character.
Now, fans are fearing Meena did assault Liam after all, and that he might be the father.
Taking to Twitter, fans shared their theories ahead of the truth being revealed, and ahead of Meena's comeback.
One viewer said: "Meena with Liam's baby?" as another tweeted: "Meena comes back pregnant with Liams baby?"
A third added: "Anyone else think Meena will come back pregnant with Liam’s baby?"
This was echoed by another fan who said: "Prediction: Meena will return actually pregnant this time and with Liam's baby, making it even harder for him to seek his revenge and putting another of his children's lives in her hands."
Speaking to The Mirror and other press, executive producer Jane Hudson recently teased: "There will be a new baby arriving in Emmerdale before the end of the year.
"I think that's not giving anything away as there are so many female characters in the show, but there will be a new arrival before the year is out. There's probably going to be a birth in the anniversary month perhaps!
"Babies in soaps are either born on programme celebrations or Christmas so there's going to be one of those happening."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
