Emmerdale fans can expect a devastating break-up next week on the ITV soap, as Leyla Harding and Liam Cavanagh call it quits.
The characters have been through a lot in the past year and a half, and it seems they can't get past it.
Liam has been grieving over the murder of his teenaged daughter Leanna Cavanagh, who was killed by serial killer Meena Jutla last year.
Meena then tried to ruin Liam's life by making up false claims about him, and even putting him in danger.
Following Leanna's death, Leyla tragically suffered a miscarriage before, months later, she was shot and almost killed by Meena.
Leyla turned to drugs and became addicted to cocaine, resulting in her suffering an overdose a few months ago.
Her second brush with death made her realise she needed help, and she has been in rehab - while Liam has continued to struggle to cope.
Most recently, Liam made a pass at his ex Bernice Blackstock, and he and his wife just can't find a way to confide in each other.
Next week, the pair try to talk once more but they realise it's the end of their marriage.
As they spend some time together, their conversation soon runs out of steam leaving them awkward.
Leyla’s tearful as Liam declares their relationship is defined by tragedy, grief, loss and lies, with them going through so much heartache.
They both come to the devastating and life-changing conclusion that they’re no good for one other.
Liam and Leyla both reel from the magnitude of their decision, as they call it quits and end their relationship.
Pictures show the moment they remove their wedding rings and place them on the table in front of them.
Both of the characters are heartbroken that it’s come to this, but will they be able to find a way back?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
