Emergency services have rushed to a blaze at a block of flats under construction.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service received a 999 call from a concerned member of the public at 7.36pm on Wednesday, September 28, reporting a blaze inside a partially built block of flats, Vauxhall Warf, on the corner of Vauxhall Road and Barmouth Way.
Three fire engines arrived at the scene four minutes later, along with the North West Ambulance Service and Merseyside Police. Four fire fighters entered the building and found a section of the third floor alight. They used high pressure reels and the fire was extinguished by 7.56pm.

The ECHO understands that due to the initial 999 call stating the fire was at a block of flats, an ambulance was sent as a precaution. The North West Ambulance Service were stood down at 8.03pm and nobody is believed to be injured.
Firefighters are now checking for hotspots and and a fire investigator has arrived at the scene.
