I-75 South in Lexington could be very slow going Friday. Natasha Lacy is the public information officer for the state Transportation Cabinet’s District 7.
“There was the tractor trailer last week that took out a portion of guardrail. So that needs to be repaired immediately. And we're going to take care of that on Friday.”
After the semi struck the guardrail, traffic was reportedly tied up all the way to Scott County.
“We would recommend at this time that motorists take an alternate route, if at all possible, to avoid the area between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. this Friday.”
The repairs will take place on the slow lane over the I-64 bridge at mile point 117.
