Electric Picnic is returning this weekend after a two year hiatus.
And those heading to the festival are in for a weekend full of camping with the usual worries - cold showers, losing friends, not being able to find the tent and trying to save your phone battery.
But we're here to help ease at leats one of those - here's our top tips on how to keep your phone battery going for as long as possible this weekend:

Don’t be always-on
It’s tempting to keep up with the news and check your social media, but you’ve paid big bucks for an EP ticket so embrace your surroundings whether Snow Patrol are singing or there’s someone getting sick, live in the moment. You can switch off your notifications to save battery - check your apps when you want rather than when you’re told to.
Limit your connectivity
Turn off your Bluetooth and put your phone on airplane mode at times when you know you and your friends are together and you don’t need to contact anyone. You can turn your phone online when you want to post your content on social media.
If you’re on 4G, don’t send your phone roaming for the nearest Wi-Fi connection so turn off your Wi-Fi completely and save your battery.
Clearing space for photos and videos
There’s nothing worse than your phone telling you your gallery’s full. This means that you’re going to spend time deleting much loved pictures and videos to make space. Not only is this time consuming, it also wastes your battery. So wipe your phone before you go and back up the content on the cloud.
Check which apps are costing you battery charge
Go into your settings and see what apps are draining your battery the most. You can limit your usage of these apps or even temporarily delete them for the three days to improve your battery life.
Lower your screen brightness
In bright sunlight, you might need your screen brightness turned all the way up but it does waste your battery. You should turn it down when not in use. When you’re in your tent, it’s going to be dark anyways, so you’ll still be able to see it comfortably.
Put your phone in energy-saving mode
Switch your phone on energy-saving mode - this mode makes certain functions more energy-efficient or stops them. For example, email isn't automatically refreshed. You can find this mode in Settings under “battery”.
Do not forget a power bank
Power outlets are always scarce during a festival. And realistically, no one wants to wait in line just to wait even longer for their iPhone's battery to recharge. So bring a fully charged power bank. With a power bank with a 10,000mAh capacity, you can fully charge my phone about three times.
