A group of men who play cricket together in Roseburn Park say they were abused by a man who threatened to set his dogs on them.
The incident, which took place on Sunday morning, saw a man make his way onto the pitch before branding the group 'scum' and questioning whether or not they paid council tax. One of the men, Sreenath, told us the man also questioned their right to play cricket there.
The group had spoken with the local club and were told the pitch was free between 8am and 11am on Sundays - though the man took issue with this and told the group his dogs were 'tense and could attack'.

Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Sreenath said: "We were playing cricket with a group of Indian colleagues, when a man intentionally walked onto the pitch and started asking questions about whether we were paying council tax and if we had booked the pitch.
"We told him we live in the neighbourhood, we're not disturbing anyone. He said he would call the police.
"But he didn't stop there, he said he would give us money to find somewhere else to play. He said we were a bunch of scum, who don't pay tax.
"He then threatened us with his dogs, telling us they were tense and could attack us. After which he brought few other local people and tried to add more fuel to the argument so that he can choose violence, he lied to those people by stating that we told him not to bring any dogs to this park.
"What is the need to be so mean and hate other people?"
After reporting the incident to police, Sreenath also asked if others had been involved in similar issues in the area. One neighbour told him that the same person was troubling the 'non local' people recently.
A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: "Around 5pm on Sunday, 14 May, we received a report of a potential hate crime in the Roseburn Place area of Edinburgh. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
