Ever fancied taking a trip down one of Edinburgh's most stunning canal runs on board a boat filled with tasty rums? Well, we have an event that might just be for you.
Summerhall Drinks Lab have just launched their summer programme of rum cruises that are ideal for drinks fans looking for a fun way to try out this Caribbean spirit.
Posting on Facebook they wrote: "Have you ever wanted to don a pirate hat, swirl a cutless and yo-ho-ho with a bottle of rum - but couldn't quite make it to the Caribbean? Why not try the next best thing Edinburgh can offer on our Rum Cruises!"

Available to book now from the Summerhall Drinks Lab website, at the event you can sample five top rums and cocktails on the Lochrin Belle while trundling down the beautiful Union Canal.
The team added that a knowledgeable host (read pirate captain) will take you through the history and heritage of each spirit, following up with tales of tropical climates and fantastic fantasies that will transport you to the rum-producing nations of the Caribbean Sea.
With prices starting at £42pp you'll get to enjoy a two-hour trip along the Union Canal (starting and ending at Fountainbridge), while sampling four different premium rums from around the world, including at least one from Scotland, while the hosts talk you through the story and flavours of each.
Each rum will be tried neat to allow guests to discuss and appreciate the differences they find and as part of a mixed drink or cocktail to show off the versatility of each spirit.
The experienced rum hosts and mixologists will also discuss interesting rum topics and answer any and all questions guests may have, with the SDL team adding that pirate costumes are entirely optional.
Canapes are provided by local caterers, Xanders, with each guest receiving three canapes each. Summerhall Drinks Lab also host regular Gin Cruises on the canal too.
