Police in Edinburgh were once again forced to carry out patrols along the popular Union Canal following reports of antisocial behaviour.
Officers from Edinburgh's south west unit took to Twitter to inform concerned locals that patrols were being carried out between Fountainbridge and Wester Hailes on Thursday evening.
Although the exact nature of incidents being reported to the police were not disclosed, officers asked locals to be considerate to path users, think about how others may feel about your actions and enjoy the walkways safely.

They said: "South West CPT officers out on patrol along the canal between Wester Hailes and Fountainbridge after reports of anti-social behaviour.
"Be considerate to other path users, think about how others may feel about your actions and enjoy the walkways safely. Thanks."
The patrol marks exactly one year since police received reports of a person having been pushed into the water along the busy canal walkway and were subsequently forced to step up patrols in the area.
It was reported at the time that a '60-year-old man' was seen pushing walkers into the canal around the Meggetland area. It is unknown if the individual was ever apprehended by officers.
