Edinburgh police have cracked down on vehicles with no road tax, embarking on a clamping spree in Leith.
Community officers carried out a joint enforcement operation targeting untaxed vehicles in Leith – with a number being either clamped or towed away.
The police confirmed Several untaxed vehicles seized by the DVLA at Linksview House.

Two officers were pictured next to the iconic Banana flats while out seizing vehicles.
Images tweeted by the cops in an online warning show a red vehicle being clamped while another silver car is mid air whilst being seized.
Community police in the area joined forces with a team from the DVLA for the day of action in the north of the city on Tuesday.
The aim was to target untaxed vehicles, and remove them from the streets. Police say that four vehicles were seized, four fixed penalty notices were issued and nine vehicles were clamped.

All vehicles on the road are required to have car tax with a few exceptions including classic vehicles older than 40 years old as well as drivers with disabilities.
Drivers can tax their car, motorcycle or other vehicles online through the DVLA website using a reference number from the vehicle logbook (V5C), the green "new keeper" slip from a new car.
