An East Midlands Ambulance Service has confirmed one of their paramedics is currently under investigation.
Benjamin Shepherd is subject to the investigation by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
In an interim order application hearing in December last year, he was handed an interim suspension.
This meant he was suspended from the register on an interim basis for a period of 18 months.
However, in another hearing on January 21 this year, this interim suspension order was replaced by an interim conditions of practice order - which places a number of conditions onto him.
For example, he must remain under the supervision of a workplace supervisor and formulate a plan addressing "deficiencies" in his practice such as "maintenance of appropriate professional boundaries with colleagues, in particular with junior colleagues".
East Midlands Ambulance Service [EMAS] says it is aware a member of its staff is under investigation and it is awaiting the outcome.
An EMAS spokesperson said: “We are aware of a member of our staff being investigated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are currently awaiting the outcome of that investigation.”
