An Italian takeaway from Dumfries has grabbed a pizza the action at a national awards night.
Benvenuto sliced up the opposition to claim two prizes at a prestigious contest for best takeaway and top pizza.
The Eastfield Road eatery received certificates from the Scottish Takeaway Awards and owner Giampiero Paolinelli was delighted to win a double.
Benvenuto was named best takeaway in South West Scotland and also scooped the Pizza of the Year award.
A spokeswoman for the firm said: “We are absolutely thrilled.
“Unfortunately, we could not attend the red carpet ceremony on the night at the Marriott Hotel because of holidays, but we have received the certificates.”
