Guid Nychburris brought Dumfries together at the weekend as thousands of people in and around the town got into the spirit of things.
Cornet Robert Wyllie and his lass Ellie McKean led the parade up the High Street to the Midsteeple before Queen of the South Ava Nosratzadeh was crowned in front of thousands on the Plainstanes.
Despite the chases and the Kingholm Gallop being cancelled due to the hard ground conditions for the safety of the horses and riders it was a great day after a full week of events.
Guid Nychburris Festival Association chairman John Caskie said: “The whole week went very well and Saturday was the same it was a really good day.
“We had a good turnout in the parade and along the route.
“We had massive crowds everywhere and everyone is very happy with the weekend.”
