Dumfries and Galloway MP Alister Jack will continue in his role as Secretary of State for Scotland.
He was re-appointed to the post by new Prime Minister Liz Truss on Tuesday night.
Mr Jack had taken on the role in 2019 after Dumfriesshire MP David Mundell was sacked by Boris Johnson.
At no point during the Tory party leadership race did he publicly reveal who he intended to vote for.
Mr Jack said: “I am honoured to have been re-appointed Secretary of State for Scotland.
“Liz Truss has been clear she will deliver for people right across the UK.
“I look forward to being a part of her new Cabinet as we tackle the challenges facing our country, not least the rising cost of living and ensuring the long term security of our energy supply.
“An absolute priority will be to grow our economy. I’m very pleased that I will be continuing in my role in delivering an ambitious UK Government programme in Scotland which is doing just that – including £2 billion of direct investment in Scottish communities.
