Dublin Fire Brigade firefighters used a nifty tool to remove a stuck ring from a person’s hand and save their finger.
The innovative tool cuts precisely through rings that are stuck on fingers, which allows for easier repair at a jewellers.
Firefighters at Phibsboro Fire Station successfully tested the device on site.
A person came to the fire station looking for assistance after being unable to remove a band from their ring finger.
The video released by Dublin Fire Brigade shows a clamp being attached to the ring, before pressure was applied by turning a screw, ensuring the ring could be removed with ease.
