Donald Trump has released a statement hours after storming out of a snippet of his world-exclusive interview with Piers Morgan.
The Former US president called the British broadcaster dishonest in the explosive interview before he demanded that the crew "turn the camera off".
Late on Wednesday night, Trump released a statement on the topic saying: “Piers Morgan, like the rest of the Fake News Media, attempted to unlawfully and deceptively edit his long and tedious interview with me.
“The good news is that the interview was taped by us as a means of keeping him honest.”
Morgan sat down to quiz Trump over the US presidential election in his first interview since he left office.
In the teasers, he tells the former Good Morning Britain host: "Okay Piers I'm ready," as the voiceover calls him a "former president in denial".
As they continued to talk over each other, it concludes with Trump getting up and walking out - but the chat is said to have gone on for 75 minutes prior to his exit.
Trump tells Piers: "You're not real. You're a fake," to which Piers replies: "No, I'm just brutally honest."
There's also one part where Trump is thought to have called Piers out over comments he was making about him.
Trump tells Piers: "I'm a very honest man, much more honest than you," in the interview dubbed by the show as 'Morgan vs Trump'.
Ending their chat, he tells Morgan: "Let's finish up the interview. Turn the camera off. Very dishonest."
Speaking about the interview, Morgan said Trump "foamed at the mouth" and shouted: "What the f**k IS this?" at him.
Revealing details of the exchange to The Sun, Morgan was reportedly left wondering if the interview would be cancelled before it had even started.
Speaking of the moment Trump confronted him about his comments, Morgan revealed: "I'd never seen him so livid or felt so uncomfortable in his presence."
The interview will be aired on the launch show of Piers Morgan Uncensored on TalkTV on Monday at 8:00 pm.
