A couple who joked by posting details about their new home as they posed outside the iconic Harry Potter house have managed to confuse numerous people on social media.
Twitter user Jessieeox shared an image of the pair posing in front of the three-bedroom house in 4 Privet Drive - the fictional Surrey house and street where Harry Potter lived under the stairs.
They joked they had just bought their first home and took a snap to capture the moment at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, reported SurreyLive.
They are pictured beaming in front of the street sign while holding the wizard world's famous drink, Butterbeer.
"After all the years of saving we finally got the keys to our new home. Can’t wait for a lifetime of memories," Jessieeox wrote.
But some social media users, who aren't Harry Potter fans, were alarmed thinking that the woman had posted her address online.
One wrote: "So you’ve revealed your name, house number and address on social media?"
Another similarly stated: "Congratulations, but not the best idea to post your home address on SM."
But one more Twitter user Dursleytime2 - presumably Uncle Vernon himself, weighed in - saying: "Wt* I didn’t agree to this sale," adding an angry emoji.
In the end due to the confusion, Jessieeox decided that she had better clarify that the post was a joke.
She wrote: "Can I just add 1. We are not siblings 2. We are not English we’re Irish 3. It’s Harry Potter's house you eejits take a joke And 4. For god's sake I'm not even that orange."
There were a number of Potter fans who understood the gag and laughed along with the woman for her post.
One rallied behind Jessieeox and said: "Knew that road name was famous lol. Definitely had me though, I was going to post a congratulations note for you 2."
Another was amazed that some people didn't get the joke and realise that it wasn't really their home.
He tweeted: "I have never read a book, watched a film nor am I a follower of Harry Potter, and even I knew it was his house."
One more said that the whole confusion was typical of social media in general laughing: "Perfect summary of Twitter posting, made me chuckle!"
Warner Bros Studio Tour London has also got in on the joke saying: "Wait till the letters start arriving."
