Police recovered cocaine and more than £2000 in cash when they searched a vehicle in Wishaw.
Hamilton Sheriff Court heard this week that more drugs were found in driver Lewis Gordon’s home.
Gordon, 20, of Senate Place, and Kyle Cunningham, 21, of Braidhurst Street, both Motherwell, admitted being concerned in the supply of the Class A drug in June 2019.
Their vehicle was searched in Kirk Road, Wishaw.
Rebecca Clark, prosecuting, said police officers noticed a set of scales stained with white powder in a door pocket.
Gordon then handed over 12 small wraps of cocaine.
The officers found £460 in his pocket and a further £1610 was recovered from the vehicle’s glove compartment.
More bags of cocaine were found in the footwell and at Gordon’s home.
The total value of the cocaine seized was more than £1000.
When asked by officers if he was a drug dealer, Gordon replied: “I would rather not say.”
The offence was committed when Gordon was only 17 and his co-accused was 18.
Ms Clark said the delay in bringing the case to court was due to Covid-related issues.
Both accused appeared as first offenders.
Sheriff Ray Small called for background reports and deferred sentence until next month.
Gordon and Cunningham will also be assessed for electronic tagging orders.
The sheriff said it is “almost certain” that he will order forfeiture of the money seized.
