A Co Fermanagh yoga teacher is doing her best to show people locally the beauty of the county through her outdoor retreats.
Shauna McMorrow from Belcoo started up Aurora Yoga in 2019 before the onset of the pandemic, having suffered from severe back pain as a result of her sporting days playing football, rugby and rowing.
After feeling the benefits of yoga in her own recovery, Shauna decided to turn her passion into a profession and now runs classes and retreats for all ages across the county.

Shauna said she enjoys getting out and about and meeting people from all walks of life.
“Most yoga teachers tend to come to it as a result of physical or mental injury,” Shauna told MyFermanagh.
“I’ve always been into sports, playing football, rowing and rugby. I did my back in quite badly when I was playing rugby and that’s how I first got introduced to it.
“It basically kept me going and I kept practising from there. Once I saw the benefit of it I thought it would be great to do this with more people and pass it on.
“I like to bring it to everybody, because no matter what age you are or your ability is there will be something for you.
“I put most of my recovery from injury down to the yoga and stretching, it made a real difference for me.
“I’m three years into it, I started in 2019 just before lockdown hit. I started just with a few adult classes but then started taking kids and got into a few primary schools here in Fermanagh.
“I enjoy touring around the county a lot and meeting people from so many different walks of life.
Shauna added a lot more people started to appreciate the world around them after lockdown, and says there is no better place than Co Fermanagh for having nature on your doorstep.
“The yoga and nature retreats came about because of lockdown. Everybody really got into the whole idea of living with nature,” she said.
“It gives you so much time to soak in what’s around you, especially in the beautiful area that we live in.
“It creates that wee bit of community and links it all back to outdoors and nature. Fermanagh has a lot of old nature that is untouched and we make use of that as best we can.
“We have used Claddagh Glen which is a temperate rainforest and hasn’t been touched at all other than the path that has been laid through it.
“We also go down to Corralea on the shores of Lough MacNean, it’s just a beautiful location, it’s so quiet and peaceful and you can hear birds chirping all day long.”
