DAVID GOODWILLIE has been voted into a 'Broadwood Best XI' in an online poll where Clyde supporters cast their ballots for their favourite players to have competed for their team at the venue.
The League One club were situated at the stadium in Cumbernauld since 1994 before departing in acrimonious circumstances at the end of this season.
North Lanarkshie Council (NLC), who own the facility, refused to renew Clyde's lease of the ground when the club re-signed Goodwillie on loan from Raith Rovers and banned the striker from entering the premises.
The 33-year-old's move from Clyde to Raith Rovers in January sparked a furious public backlash due to the player being branded a rapist by a civil court judge in 2017.
Clyde brought their lease agreement to a premature end and will groundshare with Hamilton next season, and the club canvassed supporters online to create a starting XI of players to have played at Broadwood.
Goodwillie garnered enough votes to be included in the team.
