An incident on a busy Dallas highway involving a speeding Corvette and Lamborghini SUV has caught the attention of authorities. The crash, which occurred on Saturday evening on North Central Expressway, involved a total of six vehicles, according to Dallas police.
Reportedly, the individuals in the Lamborghini and Corvette fled the scene without ensuring if anyone required medical attention or providing their information. Two drivers from other vehicles were treated for minor injuries at the scene, while two occupants from another vehicle were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
While the police have not confirmed the identities of the individuals involved, there are reports linking one of the speeding vehicles to Rashee Rice, a wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs. However, the police have not released any official information regarding the occupants of the Corvette and Lamborghini.
Authorities have stated that the Corvette and Lamborghini were speeding in the far left lane when they lost control, leading to the Lamborghini hitting the center median wall and causing the chain collision.
Rice, who hails from the Dallas area and played college football at Southern Methodist University, is said to be cooperating with local authorities. His attorney mentioned that Rice is focused on addressing the situation responsibly and expressed concern for those affected by the accident.
Chiefs President Mark Donovan stated that the team will respond appropriately once more details about the incident are known. He emphasized the importance of waiting for all the facts to emerge before making any decisions.
Law enforcement is urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward and assist in the investigation.
