The cheapest supermarket in the UK this month has been named.
Consumer group Which? found that Aldi was the cheapest supermarket for the ninth month in a row. The research compared the price of the same basket of items at different supermarkets.
Aldi was the cheapest overall, with the shop costing £74.81 - beating its rival discounter Lidl by £2.69. The most expensive supermarket in the monthly price comparison was Waitrose. At £96.59, the same shop was £21.78 more expensive at Waitrose than at Aldi.
