Charges dropped against driver accused of ramming cyclists at North Haven

Police have dropped all charges against a 25-year-old man who had been accused of forcing three cyclists off the road in Adelaide's north-west last year.

It had been alleged the Hilton man caused minor injuries when the cyclists were struck or forced off the road in separate incidents at North Haven, on the morning of August 5.

The incidents allegedly occurred between 6:30am and 7am, along Lady Gowrie Drive.

At the time, police appealed to the public for help in finding the car "suspected of being involved" in what was described as "aggressive driving towards cyclists".

A stolen Ford Fairmont was later found by officers at Plympton.

But in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today, police prosecutors withdrew all charges against the accused man.

No explanation was offered in court.

Cyclist Sam Beveridge, who captured one of the incidents on camera, previously told the ABC he witnessed a car travelling south on the opposite side of the road.

He said the car then performed a U-turn, before pulling onto the side of the road.

He said he thought the driver must be lost and making a phone call, but about 30 seconds after he rode past it, the car was "ramming" him from behind.

Mr Beveridge had a camera attached to his bike that filmed the incident, which he later turned over to police.
