An appeal has been launched after a cat was found dead near a Glasgow primary school.
The male cat was found by the side of the road in Fintry by a member of the public on Friday evening, prompting the appeal for information by the Scottish SPCA.
Described as 'black/dark coloured', the person who found the animal contacted the charity who attended the scene and collected him.

A Scottish SPCA Inspector said: “Sadly the body of a black/dark coloured cat was found at the side of the road on Friday evening.
“A member of the public was kind enough to contain the cat for us to collect to prevent causing any further distress to passers-by.
“The cat was not microchipped.
“If anyone has any information on the owner of this feline they can contact our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
