Carlos Rodon is having himself an All-Star season for the San Francisco Giants, but he didn’t have his best stuff on Tuesday night when he gave up five earned runs — including a pair of dingers — against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
So it was in the middle of that start that he came off the mound and angrily kicked a bat in the dugout to express his anger.
Unfortunately, his teammate Thairo Estrada was right there and took the flying bat to his leg and looked hurt.
At least Rodon owned up to it with reporters later on. But this was definitely not a great thing:
