Bus users in Mansfield have said their Trent Barton journeys have been affected by some of their usual services being cancelled or delayed.
Trent Barton typically post on Twitter each day to say a number of scheduled services cannot run.
They say it's 'primarily due to a shortage of bus drivers', but it's currently unknown when this issue will clear and a full timetable will operate as usual.
A number of bus users outside Mansfield Bus Station say they have experienced disruption to their travel as a result.
Kehinder Adeniyi, 23, a masters student at Nottingham Trent University, said: "I always get home 10 minutes late, it's something that has affected me.
"Every single evening there seems to be a delay around Sutton, every single time."
Katie Pearson, 40, a cleaner who lives in Mansfield, said: "I use it five days a week, and sometimes delays can have a knock on effect on things like childcare for me.
"I do have three different options of buses I could take though and they are trying I must say."
Anne Train, 68, who lives locally, said: "While I haven't been affected too much, I know some who live where there are not as many buses have been badly affected."
Retired Georgina Gillott, 76, from Mansfield, said: "New drivers are coming in and having to get used to the routes, but they've been really good.
"It's no more than anyone else has been affected, but you really have to time yourself now and I am just getting used to it.
"I think they're doing as well as they can given the circumstances, it's affecting everyone."
On each Twitter post explaining service delays, Trent Barton says: "Unfortunately we are unable to operate the following services today.
"This is primarily due to a shortage of bus drivers which is impacting the bus industry up and down the country.
"We are doing all we can to operate as many services as possible.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding."
The services affected are then listed at the bottom of each Tweet.
A trentbarton spokesperson said: “Unfortunately we have been unable to operate a number of services recently due to a shortage of available drivers.
“Driver shortages are impacting the whole of the bus industry and many other sectors. We are actively recruiting and training drivers and aim to be running a full timetable as soon as we can.
“Each morning we announce via social media which services are not running at which times. This information is updated during the day. We do this to be upfront about cancellations so customers can make informed plans about their journeys.
“The number of cancellations is reducing but we do recognise that each one is a disruption to those customers who would wish to use that particular service.
“We apologise to customers affected. We do want to be back at full strength as soon as possible as being there for our customers is hugely important to trentbarton.
“Our thanks go to our customers for their understanding and patience whilst we tackle the problem.”
