A man has gone viral for slamming a city as a "s***heap" after being stopped in his tracks on the street by an influencer.
The actions of an elderly man have left people online praising his reaction after being stopped on the streets of New York, US.
A social media star, who carries out interviews in public places, got more than he bargained for when he stopped an OAP Brit in the street to get his thoughts on the Big Apple.
Eric Jeng, who boasts nearly 25,000 TikTok followers, posted the interview on his page. And just a week after sharing it, it hit 10million views.
While Jeng expected the interview to be more of a compliment about the 'city that never sleeps', the infleuncer appeared taken aback when the grumpy Brit dubbed the US city a "s***heap".
In the viral video, the TikToker can be seen approaching the Brit as he strolls peacefully along the street with his walking stick.
Jeng then approaches the pensioner and asks if he has a "couple of minutes" to which the elderly gentleman responds: "I've got many more than a couple of minutes... I got nothing else to do!"
When asked where his twang is from, the silver-haired interviewee, who speaks with a plummy English accent, says: "Well, yours is a very noticeable American accent."
As the interview continued, Jeng asks the man how long he has been in America, to which the Brit shoots back: "Too long!"
The interviewer then asks him, "what do you like about the city?" and the man abruptly answers: "Nothing!"
To Jeng's shock, the OAP then appears to call the city a "s*** heap", and then points to the pavement saying: "Look at the sidewalks, look at the roads."
In a somewhat condescending tone, the Brit continued to complain about the city, saying: "I've been most parts of the world, unlike most Americans who've been nowhere!"
He continues: "The breadth of their interests in other people and other countries is nil!
"The number of people in this country who have passports, except to go to Canada or to Cancun..."
However, at one point, the grumpy Brit lets his guard down when he asked what he loves most about Americans.
As the man takes a moment, he finally answers sincerely, saying "my wife," before giving Jeng a warm smile.
He then says "cheers" to the camera and walks away.
The video - which has been captioned " Cheeky British man destroys America" - has taken the internet by storm.
More than 17,000 TikTok users flocked to the comments section to give their thoughts on the biting Brit's attitude.
One user wrote: "As a Brit, this is a polite man in a good mood!"
Someone else commented: "Lol! What a hero. Makes me proud to be British!"
Another quipped: "He was around for the Revolutionary War and is still mad they lost!"
While a fourth person wrote: "British honesty and sarcasm at its best!"
"We're spreading British bitterness everywhere, I love it!"
And one online user put: "The breadth of their interest in other people and other countries is nil".
