Bristol City player ratings vs Coventry: Conway at the double as Nahki Wells makes a statement

Dan Bentley - 7

Little to do in the first half but was called into action on 45 minutes, saving Fabio Tavares' strike low to his right. Didn't have a chance with Coventry's goal but stood up the test as the hosts looked to get back into the contest.

Kane Wilson (off 71, Tanner) - 7

Produced a brilliant cross from a corner which Coventry failed to deal with before Naismith headed in the opener. Got a number of crosses away on the byline but was happy to sit deeper when City had a commanding lead. A decent full debut.

Zak Vyner - 8

Booked in the first minute for hacking Palmer down. Excellent block on 40 minutes. Looked comfortable and responded well to his performance on Saturday.

Kal Naismith - 8

Opened his City account early on by heading in from close range. Impressive in the heart of defence without being particularly troubled.

Rob Atkinson - 7

Like his centre-back pairing, was barely troubled even up against Tavares who was a tricky customer at times. Won his share of headers and smart in possession.

Cam Pring - 7

A great challenge at the backpost that won City the initial corner which led to Naismiths' goal. Kept Fankaty Dabo quiet on his side. Defensively very sound although not much going forward but good to see him back in the side.

Andy King (off 78, Scott) - 8

Disciplined in midfield, sitting deeper to shield the defence. Kept Kasey Palmer quiet. Looked fit and was able to marshall the side. King dropping deeper allowed Massengo to push forward to City's advantage. A crucial interception in the area on 76 minutes before being replaced.

Han-Noah Massengo - 8

Assisted Conway's goal with a pass through the defence. You never know which Massengo is going to turn up but tonight he was fantastic. A complete nuisance in the midfield although was quiet in the final 25 minutes of the game.

Andi Weimann - 8

Played deeper to make up the midfield three and it gave City some defensive solidity. Teamed up well with Kane Wilson in the first half. Made it three in three at the end with a finish beyond the keeper.

Tommy Conway - 9

Superb to see him on the scoresheet and took his first goal really well. His second was helped out by some dreadful defending. Ran the channels brilliantly although dropped out of the game.

Nahki Wells - 8

Two assists for the forward who headed the ball across goal for Naismith's opener before winning the ball back deep in Coventry's half to assist Conway. Held the ball up well.

Sam Bell (on Wells, 85) - N/A
