A BMW driver has been arrested. Traffic cops originally spotted the car when the driver threw rubbish out of the car window and 'hogged' lanes on the M61, a force spokesman said.
According to Lancs Road Police, the driver gave false details but after taking fingerprints, it was discovered that the driver is banned until 2031 - before they failed a drugs test. The force shared a photograph of the BMW M140i, along with an update about the incident in the early hours of this morning (Thursday May 19).
@LancsRoadPolice tweeted: "This BMW M140 caught the attention of #HX60 by throwing rubbish out of their window + lane hogging on M61 S/B. The driver tried to give false details but was found out by the fingerprint device. Driver disqualified until 2031 + failed a @DrugWipeUK for cocaine #arrested #T1TacOps."
