It’s no secret that Overwatch 2‘s launch hasn’t been all that smooth, and two of the game’s heroes are in particularly rough shape.
Blizzard announced Monday that Bastion and Torbjörn have been temporarily removed from Overwatch 2. Well, mostly — Bastion isn’t playable in any game modes whatsoever. Meanwhile, Torbjörn is only available in quick play.
Unsurprisingly, this is happening because both characters are experiencing nasty glitches. Bastion’s ultimate ability can sometimes rapid-fire without repercussion, while Torbjörn’s Overload skill sometimes lasts longer than it should. There hasn’t been an official statement on how long both heroes will be unplayable, though Blizzard will likely update players soon enough.
Numerous other issues have been plaguing Overwatch 2 since it came out last week. The biggest of which is long server login times, leaving many players rather upset. Thankfully, it seems like the queues are getting shorter as of late.
There’s also a good deal of controversy surrounding Overwatch 2‘s SMS requirements. Blizzard has slightly relaxed those policies for older Battle.net accounts, thankfully. Primarily due to the widespread outcry from longtime fans.
Many of these issues stem from Overwatch 2‘s free-to-play transition and will undoubtedly take some ironing out in the coming weeks.
