THE stars behind the 1995 film Rob Roy have shared their experiences of working in Scotland.
This year marks 30 years since the historical drama was released. Shot in the Highlands, the film stars Liam Neeson as Robert Roy MacGregor, Jessica Lange as his wife Mary MacGregor and Tim Roth who plays antagonist Archibald Cunningham.
Both Roth and Lange appeared in Glasgow this week for the Glasgow Film Festival.

Speaking to The National of her experience working on Rob Roy, she said: "It would be great to come back and film in Scotland, it was a wonderful time we had here.
"We were up in the Highlands and it was so beautiful, it was a great experience.
"I loved the cast and crew, I loved the story."
Meanwhile, Roth – who attended the world premiere of his latest film Tornado – told The National how he thought he was going to get fired from the job.
Speaking on the red carpet, he said: "I really thought I was gonna get fired off that movie, and I told my agent that they should find me another job because they were gonna fire me.
Tim Roth (Image: PA) "I said, 'When the Americans see what I've done, they'll replace me', and I really thought that was the case – but it didn't work out that way.
"I enjoyed him [playing Cunningham] and I enjoyed it, I think it was the first proper paid job I ever had."
In an exclusive interview with The National ahead of his red carpet appearance, Roth said filming Rob Roy was like being "in midgeland".
"They're like mosquitoes but they're suicidal. They come in and swarm you, and they bite – they don’t run away, they just stay on you and keep biting you," he said.
Lange also experienced midges when she was filming Rob Roy, telling The National: "Oh yeah, well there were a few midges from time to time."
