Bars and restaurants in Greater Manchester giving Elizabeths the royal treatment this weekend

If you're lucky enough to be named Elizabeth, there's quite a lot of free things you can take advantage of this weekend.

As many of us prepare to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee this weekend, some companies have gone the extra mile and offered freebies to anyone who shares a name with the monarch.

From free meals, to train rides, and even a cinema ticket if you're in the right places, here's a full list of all the things you can get for free this weekend if you share a name with the Queen.

The Alan hotel

Situated on Princess Street, The Alan is giving all Elizabeth's a free meal this weekend. You have to be dining with at least one other person, and must have booked a table before hand, quoting "Elizabeth" upon booking. Make sure you take your ID with you to prove you're really an Elizabeth! Bookings can be made online.

The hotel is also running a competition on Instagram for people to nominate an Elizabeth who deserves to be treated like a queen for the day, with a free overnight stay plus dinner and drinks over the Bank Holiday weekend.

East Lancashire Railway

Until Thursday June 2, anyone with the first or middle name Elizabeth can ride on all trains and standard services on the East Lancashire Railway free of charge. Elizabeth's will have to go to the ELR ticket office in person with an official form of ID to get their free ticket.

Belong Village, Atherton

The bistro in Belong Village, a care complex designed to offer a central space for residents, is offering Elizabeth's a free coffee and cake to tie the Jubilee with the bistros finally reopening after the coronavirus pandemic. Open to members of the public as well as friends and family of residents, the cafe in Atherton will be running the offer. No terms and conditions or requirements have been outlined.

Electric Gamebox

Electric Gamebox is the Arndale's immersive gaming experience (Manchester Arndale)

Anyone named Elizabeth can play one game for free at Electric Gamebox locations from June 2 to 5 as long as they're with one fully paying adult. The offer is only available for walk-in customers, as staff will need to check IDs as proof you're called Elizabeth.

The games site will also be offering half-price gin and tonics for anyone over 18 during this time, so your non-Elizabeth friend doesn't have to miss out on a bit of a treat.

Côte

French restaurant Côte is giving free desserts to diners named Elizabeth this weekend. The new dessert, called a Tarte Royale, is a chocolate and salted caramel tart topped with meringue and finished with gold leaf. All 85 of Côte's restaurants are running the offer, including the branch in Manchester, with diners required to show their official ID to prove they're truly an Elizabeth.

Offers elsewhere

If none of the above offers tickle your fancy then there are a few more to be found outside of Greater Manchester. Here's the rest of the offers we found going on across the Jubilee weekend

The Lawrence Hotel

Over in Lancashire, the Lawrence Hotel in Padiham will offer the ultimate afternoon tea experience - with Elizabeth's dining for free. The meal will include sausage rolls and a selection of sandwiches, scones, triple chocolate brownies, and Victoria sponge alongside unlimited tea and coffee.

Book a slot through the hotel's website and bring ID with you on the day to show your name is Elizabeth and the tea will be absolutely free. Offer available on June 2 and June 3.

Frankie & Benny's

Frankie and Benny's also have an offer on for customers this weekend - but you don't need to be called Elizabeth (PA)

All diners at the Italian-American chain Frankie & Benny's will offer guests a free Victoria sponge cake this weekend when bought with a glass of prosecco. The offer is available in UK restaurants from Thursday, June 2 until Sunday June 5, with glasses of fizz costing £4.40 a glass for Scavi and Ray Sparkling, or £5.90 for the Midea Prosecco.

Showcase Cinemas

Anyone named Elizabeth can get free cinema tickets or popcorn at Showcase Cinemas. On Thursday 2 and Friday June 3, Elizabeth's can grab a free ticket, with free popcorn for any Elizabeth's visiting on Saturday 4 and Sunday June 5. The closest Showcase to us is over in Liverpool, so only really worth the trip if you find yourself there anyway!

Make sure you take your ID with you - and the offer is extended to anyone with a variation of the name such as Beth, Liz, or Betty.
