Bald man 'looks 20 years younger' after having hairpiece fitted

A barbers has been praised for making a man "look 20 years younger" using a hairpiece that will stay in place for months.

In a video on TikTok, that has racked up thousands of likes, Novo Cabelo Hair showed the incredible before and after shot of one of the customers at Empire Barbers in Norwich. Many viewers said the man looked like a completely different person.

A first image shows the man looking downhearted as the camera shows how he has been balding from the front of the head to his crown. But an after-shot shows the man looking a lot more confident, with a new hairpiece in place, the Daily Star reports.

TikTok users flocked to compliment the man's new look. Some compared him to Scottish actor Gerard Butler.

One user said: "He looks 20 years younger!", another said: "I'm getting Gerard Butler vibes." A third added: "More than what we see, I can't stop thinking of the enormous self-perception boost they must have when they see the final results and the impact on their self-confidence."

According to the comments, the hair replacement costs between £350 to £500 and lasts up to four months if properly cared for.

The news comes after the same treatment was used in a Southport salon in October of last year. Similarly, a TikTok video showed a man with grey, thinning hair having the procedure performed at Ruma in Churchtown.

The clip showed 39-year-old Graham's hair transformation. Over the footage, an on-screen caption stated Graham: "Wanted to know if a hair system would knock some years off." The salon then glues a custom-made hairpiece onto his head that has been colour matched with his natural shade of hair.

The commentary continues: "First we colour matched his hair and applied the poly skin base with a glue adhesive then started to snip his new hair into a style. Graham wanted a low maintenance style he could manage easily.

"I wonder how many years we will take off?" The clip was "liked" more than 40,000 times and viewers were divided, with many believing Graham looked around 10 years younger and others reckoning he should just embrace the bald.
