A Derbyshire bakery that has created giant sharing love heart doughnuts filled with treats like Nutella, Bueno and Lotus Biscoff has seen its website jam amid the demand. Project D Doughnuts created the mega sharer treats ahead of Valentine's Day, but have been stunned by orders flooding in from across the country for the delicacy after a TikTok video went viral.
The TikTok videos show co-owner Matthew Bond tearing open the doughnut mega-hearts to show the gooey Lotus Biscoff and Nutella oozing out of the middle - and it has racked up over 5mn views. It has seen their ordering system go into overdrive from people wanting to get their hands on the £15 giant hearts.
It has now officially become the bakery's most popular ever product - and it's only been on sale for a week. The team is now preparing for an onslaught of more giant love heart orders in the run up to February 14.

The Project D bakery was founded by school friends Max Poynton, Jacob Watts and Matthew Bond in their hometown of Derby. It has become something of a phenomenon thanks to their loaded doughnut treats - growing to employ 75 staff and sending out orders across the UK.
But they've never seen a reaction like that to their mega love heart creations. Some of the comments on the posts have been hilarious - with people tagging in their partners demanding they buy them for Valentine's Day.
One woman wrote: "If I don't receive this for Valentine's Day I'm leaving you." While another said: "Some girls want diamonds, I'm happy with a doughnut."
Co-owner Matt appears in the viral Tik Tok video taking a huge bite out of the Kinder Bueno mega heart. He is then seen creating it from the start by injecting chocolate Nutella sauce inside, then draping it in white chocolate and sprinkling chocolate crumb all over.
All the while, a soundtrack says: "Time to stop buying the same box of chocolates for your lover, and treat them this to this Kinder Bueno heart mega doughnut for Valentine's Day."
The mega doughnuts come in eight different varieties of fillings and toppings. It includes the Buenissemo, which is pumped full of chocolate hazelnut spread, Percy’s Paradise, which is topped with pink icing and Percy Pigs, and the vegan Bad Boy’s, covered with salted caramel and topped with Lotus Biscoff biscuits.
Max told the MEN: "‘The response to our Love Heart doughnuts has been phenomenal. This is our best selling range of all time.
“We spent quite a long time planning this range and the content to go with it, so to see the sheer amount of views and likes we’ve had online is just amazing."
Max said the biggest demand for the mega hearts though has come from Manchester out of any other area of the UK. Despite the initial launch of the product "melting" their website through sheer demand, he said they are still taking orders in the run up to February 14.
